Unlike the intro for DYU, this one doesn't turn up musically later in the album, and unlike the intro for TQE it isn't a ripoff of a Kamelot song (check out "Leaving too Soon" by Kamelot to know what I mean). EidolaĪs with every album before, this album starts with a choir and orchestral prelude. ![]() As a fan of their earlier work (as opposed to the Quantum Enigma, the start of their "new" style) I can say I think this album strikes a comfortable balance between the complexity of their older songwriting and the accessibility and more cheerful nature of the Quantum Enigma. So after listening to Epica's new album a few times, I can say that I'm still quite impressed. As a side note, we would also like to discourage arguments about singers, in particular Nightwish singers - as this can be a tedious and stressful topic for all involved.
